Online dating I believe, is one of the biggest myths so far this century for the consumer - and the biggest business racket for the sites.

I'm not trying to be morbid, consumer dating - is like on-line buying e.g. ebay, but, without recieving the goods. In the end it is a virtual way of trying to meet people. Because lets face it 99% of the time it VIRTUALLY doesn't work. Sites may claim untold results, and with no shortness of single people out there with techno these days they have an easy harvest. But I put it to you, try and find the success rates - NO the real success rates. I'm talking the marriage and kids rate of people who meet via the internet. Believe me when you find out it will be eye wateringly small.

One question. Does properly getting to know someone take more than a few lines and a photo?
(Well, if you want more then sex that is - it is probably excellent for this>?)
