Need a New Yahoo?

August 26th, 2006 by Tina

Yahoo Personals is one of the most popular and largest online personals websites. They have millions of profiles listed with in depth details and pictures. Creating a profile is easy and pretty quick. The more information you provide, the better responses you will get!

Yahoo offers some of the most usable compatibility tests available. They are available to premium members only. The questionnaire will take a while, but if you are honest in your answers you will get your personality type, romance type, etc. Checking the chart when browsing for profiles is fun and gives you an instant heads up before you ever contact the person!

I tried to sign up and it was disasterous. Their signup program had bugs in it, but not buggy to keep my credit card info. Every month they charge me for services I can’t get into. Their customer svc is elusive, too.

When I finally got them, they apologized and promptly refunded me. However the next month they were back on my credit statement again.

Once again I contacted them once again they apologized and removed it. They did this a few more times. A quick search on the web and I discovered numerous complaints about their billing. They are uunder the atty generals scrutiny now.

Buyer beware. I had to cancel my credit card.

yahoo personals will only allow paying members to have a dialog with other paying members, but not with the thousands of non-paying members who have profiles on their site.

If you see a profile you like, but the member only has a free profile, you can message them but yahoo will delete any contact info you include in your message. The only way that person can respond to you is if they buy a membership. Most people will not do this so you just think the person is not interested.

Yahoo uses the thousands of non-paying members as shills to make the site look more popular than it is.

    What a rip-off!

Yahoo Personals just stole $90 from my account and will not refund my money. Do not give them your credit card information, they will take advantage of it.

The $90 was for a renewal of a 6 month subscription. I signed up 6 months ago, the site was not that good, I met someone on another site shortly after and eventually canceled all my other profiles. Now 6 months later I get a charge on my visa for another $90.

I asked for refund and they say they will only refund if I contact them within 3 days of the billing. This is fraudulent as far as I am concerned.
