Are Women the Only Ones Online for Love?

August 29th, 2007

If you’re a woman that’s online looking for love, it can certainly seem like you’re in good company…with other women, that is. There are millions of single women waiting to find their true love online, but not nearly enough good single men are there to meet them.

This is causing some difficulties for women – understandably.

But instead of thinking that you’re going to stay single forever, maybe you need to go beyond the internet and start branching out to find your soul mater.

This might include going to singles mixers and trying speed dating. Though these might not score you a date, you might meet new friends that have ex boyfriends that might be right for you.

The internet is a great place to get your feet wet in the dating game gain, but when you want to find someone now, you need to start getting offline and back into the dating scene.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that you can’t still use online dating; in fact, there’s no reason to stop. Keeping your options open is actually the best way to increase your chances of success – so get out there and online.

The numbers are going to work in your favor when you stop being narrow and start casting your net in as many directions as possible.

Do You Know the Laws of Love?

August 20th, 2007

While we might want to believe that celebrities date other celebrities just to stay in same kind of attractiveness factor, that’s not always the case. Because of the schedules that many of these celebrities have, it’s just easier to date someone that ‘gets’ what you have to do and what it takes to do your job.

Why should it be any different for those in professional public service jobs?

At thebadge.org, police officers, emergency medical professionals and fire fighters can meet other singles in their lines of work, helping to connect these courageous people. But because you’re meeting people in the same line of work, you’re already going to have something in common, plus you’re going to be with someone who ‘gets’ your life and your responsibilities.

Your line of work takes you out at all hours of the day and night in dangerous situations. You have to drop everything for strangers and you can’t simply say ‘no’ when the fire bell rings or if you get an emergency call.

And other singles on the site understand.

While this site is still growing, there is no doubt that helping to focus your possible dating pool is going to help you find the perfect someone to love. After all, you’re meeting someone who cares about everyone else’s well being – why not about yours too?

YouDate?

August 14th, 2007

When YouTube decided to dip its hands into the online dating scene, no one expected an online dating show from a YouTube member.

Brandon Fletcher’s inside look into the world of online dating wasn’t supposed to be something that drew a large crowd. In fact, Fletcher tried to tell YouTube at one point, only to be shunned in his attempts.

With his site, Dateunknown.com, Fletcher has gotten a deal with YouTube for his video ideas. And while the future of this show is unknown for most of the general public, the sensation that YouTube is makes it a veritable hit before it even gets off the ground.

This show is going to document the real life dates of those that have used online dating during weekly episodes. And there’s no telling there this might lead.

Documentary or simply reality TV in another direction? That’s for the viewer to decide. For now, we’ll just say that there are a lot of strange people dating out there – and that Fletcher may have exposed a great many of them.

Awkward first dates on display for all to see – that’s something that’s like a car crash you just can’t turn away from. And it’s certain to get people talking about the horrors of dating.
