Want to Plan the Perfect Fall Date?

November 2nd, 2007

Once you’re finally ready to take your online relationship to the next level, it’s time to plan that first date. And with the crisp autumn air, this is the perfect time for a little romance – and quite a few romantic settings for you and your special someone. Why not take advantage of these fall date ideas?

Go to the Pumpkin Patch or Cider Farm – Even though Halloween is over, you can still head out to the pumpkin patch for pumpkins to decorate or to throw into pies. You might also find local farms where you can pick out freshly made cheeses and eat a picnic lunch on the grounds. Or you can head into a corn maze for a fun adventure.

Head to a Local Football Game – Even if you don’t know who is playing, if you and your date are sports fans, there’s nothing like heading outside to a live football game. Bundle up with some hot chocolate or head to the snack bar for concession treats and you have the perfect date night.

Look for Local Festivals – Because the fall tends to have seasonable weather without snow or ice, you can often find local festivals for a number of different themes. See what your town has to offer and walk around the grounds for the day.

Go Flea Marketing – You might also want to head to your local flea market to see what’s for sale. Though this isn’t a typical date, it can turn out to be a fun scavenger hunt for you and your special someone.

First Date Ideas for Fall

September 19th, 2007

As the weather begins to change from the warmth of summer to the cool of fall, many of us are heading indoors…to date online. There’s nothing like finding someone else to help make these cooler days more enjoyable. But when you’re stuck for first date ideas, you might just find yourself sitting at home all bundled up – by yourself.

To help prevent this, you need original first date ideas that will really impress this new date.

Local Football Games – If you’re both into sports, you might want to head to a local football game to share your love of the game, while also getting outside in the crisp fall air. It’s a light date that doesn’t cost a lot of money and gives you something to talk about.

A Walk in the Foliage – Since the leaves are changing anyway, why not turn them into a date too? Talking someone to the park is a great way to size each other up and to find out more about their interests.

Corn Mazes are Everywhere – Many cities also have annual corn mazes available that can make for a fun first date. You can go on hay rides or simply try to navigate your way through the maze together.

The fall is a time for getting out and enjoying a few cups of hot cider along the way – not for sitting at home.

Do You Need Help with Online Dating?

July 20th, 2007

If you’re heading to online dating sites to find new love, you already know how hard the dating scene is. Bars and bookstores just aren’t the hot meeting places that dating guides say they are. And even if you do pick up a guy or a girl at a club, the chances of them being a good match for you aren’t all that good either. You’re not alone in trying out the online dating landscape, though you might find that it’s a bit harder than it looks.

Some people are even turning to dating experts to help them create better profiles that match them up with more people. Too often, online daters aren’t showcasing their best features – like their personality or their good looks. And this is holding them back from finding the person that they could really connect with on a relationship level. Here are some of the tips from dating experts that you can use:

  • Find three things that you like about yourself and show them off
  • Be honest
  • Don’t change for someone else

When you find out what makes you comfortable in your own skin, you’re going to find someone else that likes the person you are – no professional help needed.
