Sugar Daddy for Me
Hi, I'm 17 years old girl want to meet nice guy until age 17, I want a lot of money, fun and entertainment.
Plenty Of Fish
I have tried POF several times and found, from a female perspective, that it is full of serial daters, men looking for fwb situations and/or men with serious issues, such as being mentally ill, chronically unemployed or being extremely neurotic.
No Strings Attached
Guy who just now subscribed (in a whim) to this site for a month. I got tricked in thinking that most profiles were of women looking for men. Once you pay and are able to view the profiles in details, you find out that most of them are from women looking for women, and a great majority of the ones that are actually looking for men haven't logged in for months. I understand that it's a bit early to give a negative critique, but so far it's not looking too good.
Click and Flirt
@Glen Kyle I feel the same way Glen I've experienced the same things as well, frustrating I won't pay for an on line dating site anymore, I'm on Plenty of Fish but it sucks too.
UK Christian Date
Very attractive site and easy to navigate, however it's very hard to tell how good this site is. Been on other sites before and hardly got any responses over long periods of time. However with this site I've had 18 responses in 5 days... Not sure if these are real or just auto generated and without having to shell out the extortionate £30 for 1 month fee to check if they are real is really frustrating. There is a 3 day "so called" free trial but it states that "first 3 days are free, then £29.99 p/m thereafter". The site does not clarify if you have the option to opt in or if you are automatically renewed, nor is it very clear about how you go about cancelling a subscription. Very frustrating and disappointing from a site that claims to cater for Christians? Needs more transparency. If you read this and want to get back to me UKCD feel free jaybo.
Match.com
Was a member and was not successful; three month membership and only chatted with one woman on a couple occasions. Sent numerous emails but other than the one gal (and a couple chats) I had no dates and 60 some profile views.
Found several scam profiles and brought them to Match's attention. Had dozens of notices that "someone wants to meet you", only to find that their profile is inactive. Let's see, someone wants to meet me and the next day the profile doesn't exist. While I can't say Match.com is a complete scam, it's not as rife with fraud as other sites.
Match does check your profile, but the enforcement is hit or miss. I reported one gal because her profile said she wasn't a member but to contact her at i'm a hot chick at yahoo dot com. (not the addy but you get the idea). I mentioned on my profile that if you write to me, put Tiamat in the subject line so I know you read my profile and weren't a 'bot. (because I didn't want Match to use my account as a shill after I cancelled). They really didn't like that!
Not recommended, but your mileage may vary.
Singles Canada
I agree with the user who said "This site IS crap". Really - you have to pay monthly fee just to be able to read messages or even look at the card someone sent to you?
So, it's free only to create a profile and that's it, but you are not allowed any interaction with other users unless you pay. Bullcorn!
OKCupid
@Chris I found this letter interesting because it points up a couple of issues:
One is that a false profile was posted, using photos of a male model, so we can assume that if it happened once, it has probably happened other times too.
Another issue raised is that of the male/female ratio, which there has been a lot of conjecture about. OkCupid has claimed 59% of members are male, but the membership tends to think otherwise. My guess would be two-thirds are male, but I've heard guesses up to a ratio of 5 to 1 (male dominated).
And finally, we read in this letter that some males have an awful lot of trouble meeting women through this site.
OKCupid
I have used OkCupid on and off for several years and can honestly say that this website is full of shallow women. You will not have any success sending messages to women unless you are at least 6 feet tall and gorgeous. I know this is the case because I am an intelligent, honest and caring guy who is funny and employed in a career earning 90k a year, but because I am 5 foot 8 and not so good looking, women never reply to my messages.
I don't choose women who are too hot for me, nor young party girls. I send many many messages to women who are age appropriate, who are intelligent and seem down to earth. My messages are short, funny and flirty and - most importantly - show that I read her profile and that we have some things in common. Yet, after hundreds of messages, I have never had a women reply to me.
Out of frustration, I created a fake profile on OkCupid and posted pictures of a male model and set his height to 6 foot 2. Without even sending a single message as this unrealistically hot guy, dozens of women were falling all over each other to get his attention. Even if his profile makes him sound like a self-centered jerk who cheats on his gf, women ignored those major personality flaws and even offered their phone numbers, unsolicited.
Bottom line is, OkCupid does not work for men shorter than 6 feet tall who aren't gorgeous. Tall and beautiful men have no problems getting women on the site, and I believe even homely women can find an interested male. But short and not-so-good-looking men don't have a chance, no matter what their personality is like.
Zoosk
I joined Zoosk and soon found out that (as I should have known) you have to subscribe to contact other members. I said well, ok, no problem so I click subscribe button for the one month plan for $24.99, I believe. Anyhow, to my surprise, they also charge a onetime "fee" for $24.99? I don't think so!! No other dating sites do this, at least not to my knowledge. Forget Zoosk. Use "Are You Interested" instead.
ChnLove.com
I have been on and off of this site for more than 6 months with little to show for my efforts but a big Visa bill. This site has companies that contract other "match maker" and translation services who all seem to have some slightly different rules about direct contact. In my opinion many of the translations are not complete or accurate and they will often delete the email addresses sent to a lady for direct contact even if the woman can speak English. Some of them will never allow a woman to send a man her email address and so they hook you into very expensive communications. I would not be surprised to learn that some of these profiles are fake and set up for the purpose of getting a man to spend more money. Some ladies say they miss you or love you before you have even gotten to know anything about one another, which makes me suspect. Unless something changes I would not recommend this site. Your experiences may differ.
AshleyMadison.com
So, I have a love-hate relationship with AM. I've been a paying member for about 2 years and have hooked up with a few other like-minded women in that time.
There are two things I really dislike about this site.
First, the male to female ratio is quite high. I ran an experiment whereby I created a female profile that contained absolutely no information at all other than some modest physical dimensions. No check boxes, no text, nada. In the course of about a month, I must've received on the order of 500 or so messages, winks, etc. It was truly amazing. I turned it off after about a month… My apologies to those guys who wasted money sending messages to this fake profile. As a male subscriber, I'd say that maybe 1 or 2 in 10 messages I send results in the female having a look at my profile. Maybe 1 in 20 messages produces some form of response, like a return email. Maybe 1 in 100 messages will result in a f2f meeting. Bottom line, there are a boatload of horny guys on that site, females have their pick. So, good luck getting someone's attention. It is possible, but requires patience.
Second, I really dislike their process for censoring profile content. All text you write for your profile goes to some anonymous censor somewhere. I can see censoring out phone numbers and stuff, but jeesh, it requires a 24 hour turnaround for them to read and approve or reject your stuff.
Third, there are some subtle details of how they've implemented their site that leave me with a little concern about security/discretion. I'd like to be able to specify a generic location, like "SF North Bay Area", but instead they force you to enter a town/zip code thing, which kind of sucks. An earlier version of the site used to let you enter more generic geographic location information.
On the positive side, I like the fact that most people on the site are there because they are married and want to find a like-minded person. There are some fake profiles, ranging from those like mine (sorry, again!) to what seem to be obvious "flypaper" or "moneymakers" designed to attract lots of messages. You just have to get a feel for the site to learn how to spot these and avoid them.
Hope this helps!

Woome.com

eHarmony
Problem 1 with this site: On the Canadian site, you have to have Visa or Mastercard or otherwise you won't be able to subscribe. Not even with Paypal which is stupid especially since the other E-Harmony sites do accept PayPal.
Problem 2: The subscription costs are more than double most of the other sites. Basically, the only moment basically you can subscribe is during those 3-month promo offers.
Problem 3: Like Zoosk, the person that you are interested must be subscribed to even just see your picture.
Problem 4: Even if you're subscribed you're definitely not guaranteed to have success. With the cost I think you should get more bang for the buck and so far EHarmony has failed to do so. Even during the Free Communication Weekend, where I've send the first set of questions to over 150 people, I've got only two responses. Just a complete flop.
So you have to pray for each promotion that are few and far between, even though other sites don't even have any promotions at all.
Zoosk
I would have given a higher rating if things would have gone differently. I first created the account in June and was already interested in one person in particular. Unfortunately, I wasn't familiar with PayPal so I decided to do the first payment by check, but the postal lock-out really delayed the payment processing. The person was no longer member a by the time, the subscription was completed (actually she left less than 24 hours before I was subscribed).
Twice since I've subscribed, I've sent e-mails to over 100 people, but among them only two did reply, but only once.
I would say, the period between late-September and late-October gave me a brief hope finally with this site, when three people expressed interest. Two of them had subscribed for a month and another one gave me her e-mail address.
After this brief period of hope, nothing for about 6 weeks, it's getting depressing and I seriously consider not extending the membership once it will expire. This site has been a big disappointment.
The big problem with the site is what some mentioned already is that the person you're interested in, must also be subscribed - They only have one chance. On my profile, I do put a semi-indication that I am a subscriber - still it doesn't help.
Seems, that each site has that one big problem that torpedoes many potential couple makings.
Unless something happens I'm not giving this site a passing grade.
CasualKiss
Well I want to delete my account from here, and guess what i cannot. There is no place on this whole site where you can go to delete your account so if there is anyone who knows how to go about it would you please email me how.. Thanks. Linda
GirlsDateforFree
Hi everyone am molly a fun loving person that loves a man true and honesty play a big part hope u are out there sweetie.
Plenty Of Fish
All the pitfalls of any other dating site including that they have 2X or more guys than girls. The 45/5% is total BS. The girls on this site are not as pretty as let's say on Match. It would be one star, but since you can use the site for free it gets two.
