I am 62 and have been on AM for several months. In the southern NJ area, the male to female ratio on the site is at least 5:1! This stinks!!! Moreover, many of the "available" women in the 55 and up category seem to be Non-participants (haven't logged in 7+ days). I am reasonably decent looking, trim, educated-professional and have been disappointed with AM. I've had connections where the women strings me along and only wants to sent 2-5 word replies to our dialogs (forcing me to spend hundreds of credits). I've had wonderful dialogs with intelligent women, only to have them disconnect their entire account before meeting... (cold-feet?) I've also had hotties that showed nude shots of themselves and only wanted to meet in a motel; without much on-line dialog... It is certainly not what I had hoped to get!

I am in a sexless marriage, but besides that it's good. I joined AM because I crave sex and my husband is no longer interested in having sex with me. What else can I do? If I am not getting it at home! I am not dead yet. Sex is healthy. A great way to relieve stress, etc. All my friends are still having sex and brag about it. This bothers me, as I feel like there is something wrong with us as a married couple. I don't want to die not ever having sex again. It's in all the movie's I watch. It seems everyone around me is having sex, but me. So I am not apologizing for doing something to make me feel good, when my husband won't help me in that way. It's because of men and women like that, who hold sex back that we both (men and women) have to resort to cheating.

@Female Customer 350 messages in 1 day sound a bit ridiculous to me... I had less than that number in total after 3 months membership on the site. I totally agree there are idiots on there but I absolutely never reply to anyone if I am not interested in them. Cruel? Maybe.. But experience has taught me to regret doing so... I was thinking I was being polite sending a reply but in fact you just get into a pointless dialog that can turn ugly when the guy sees you don't want them.

Well, I haven't decided to join AM as of yet, but from what I've seen, heard and come to a conclusion is that AM doesn't promote or talk you into having an affair with anyone. If you don't agree with the purpose of the site, don't visit it or join, it's that simple. Furthermore, you don't need AM to meet anyone to have a discreet affair.
I've been married for a very long time and accidentally met a wonderful, delightful, caring, beautiful women, (need I say more) and we began having coffee and that lead into a more discreet relationship. We are both in similar situations where our spouse's forgotten to continue to consummate the marriage (having sex). I have no regrets about the relationship.
Unfortunately that also has ended, due to her marriage finally coming to a close...
