@Leonard Hanson Well, these admirer mails were pre-written letters actually, most of the chnlove ladies do not speak good English, the agencies or translators will tell them how to write the letters to attract attention, so these letters are more or less the same. After all, it is only used to show interest and they do not charge any money. The agencies will search for match profiles according to the criteria given by the ladies, and then they will send out these form admirer mails. Sometimes the ladies may not know who exactly their letters sent to. But many ladies, who are very eager to find a partner, they will go to the agencies personally and search for their match. I have been to some agencies, and I see many ladies stay at the agencies all day long in front of the computer to browse men profiles.

Well after 2 years and a painful beginning on chnlove, I landed a wife from china. Yes this site was brutal trying to find what was real or not, but I persisted and found the most drop dead beautiful gal. I went to Beijing last year and got our papers in order and now she is here with me in California. I am 47 and she is 28 no kids. She is smart, beautiful, attentive and learning her English. Oh and a great cook!! But we both look out for each other...that's the key. These girls are so nice yet a little naive and innocent, but if you stick with it and can weed your way through the undesirables this site is OK.

There is one thing we need to be aware about China, there are many scammers out there. But I don't believe Chnlove is one of them. Chnlove does not provide the service, we are actually talking with the ladies through the agencies. Love is blind, but we can use some common sense. I live and conduct business in Shanghai, China. And I have dated some ladies through Chnlove. The ladies are real and I have met them personally. Asian ladies are reluctant to talk about personal info and have direct contact even if they do speak English. They thought the translators can give them professional advices on dating. Also, not all the girls have computers at home like we do. There are however, many internet cafes there, but it's mostly with teenagers playing online games. I went to these cafes once when I first came to China. You can't even find a single girl there. Here in Shanghai, I've met a lot of ladies in China and most are looking for someone sincere. But one thing I do realize is, some of the ladies are not interested in foreigners who stay in China. Like they say, there are plenty of choices and temptations here, a relationship tends not to be stable and they are afraid we are only looking for a quick romance. There can be black sheep among us?

Why I talk to Chinese ladies through Chinalove: It saves me time and money. I got hit with a massive stroke ten years ago. Chnlove is better, than not talking to ladies at all. Why Chinalove uses all old photos of their ladies is a question mark to me. I insist on new ones. The looks are a generation older, but honest.

I am not the man I used to be. Singles clubs are usually better than bars or pubs. You start talking right away in Chinalove without getting drunk, or wasting money on drinks. In my case I use Chinalove as mental therapy. The translators are humourous and intelligent. Joining the club is a friendship between three individuals. A menage a trois! Therapy costs! Chinalove provides at least a taste of love, sometimes more. After two years, I'm very happy with my friends at Chinalove.

I tend to agree with Nigel the neuro surgeon. Scammers and people trying to get your money exist absolutely everywhere online, just like they do in real life. If you meet someone trying to scam you online, it doesn’t mean the site is fraudulent. You have to be careful, you have to use common sense, you have to learn to "smell a rat" so to speak because being misled by someone at the other end of a computer is a whole lot easier than being misled by someone face to face. A site like Chnlove has no way of vetting everyone using the site, just like other dating sites can’t. Most big sites now carry a legal disclaimer that actually tells you that they don’t do background checks on people using their sites - so the bottom line is "enjoy the site but take part at your own risk".

@David He he, David, no, Hong is the name of a Chinese woman I know. I guess we would call ourselves friends now, the "spark" wasn't there. Actually, I have never driven a truck, but I remember wanting to as a child!!

Not sure if I am a gifted neurosurgeon, I included my occupation in response to the comment that labelled me as a "putz" (whatever that is). But yes, that is my profession. I am attached to the medical staff at the Austin Hospital, so if you check the list, you will see only one of the neuro team with a first name Nigel... that is me. Come to think of it, I am the only one with an initial "N", so your task is even easier!!!

I really do not know why this site gets so many negative comments when the ladies are most certainly real, I have met plenty of them thru my meeting with Hong, but all my post intended to do was show those reviewing the site, possibly with the intention of using it, an alternative opinion. I know the ladies exist, so the idea that there are a set of unscrupulous interpreters stealing your money without even having any ladies on the books is just rubbish.

If you are wasting your money, it is because your expectations and unrealistic.
I have no doubt that translators continue to communicate with men after the lady says "no thanks", but in my experience, saying "no thanks" only happens in unrealistic circumstance.

Here is a good example. Hong is a tall, very beautiful lady aged 27. Her profile indicated a desired age of 30-40 years. She received three EMF's from a Swiss guy, aged 63, who was 105kgs and 176cms tall, and looked like Jabba the Hutt. I saw the profile and letters... wow, not even a mother could love that. She had told the interpreter "no thanks" on the first letter, but the guy kept going. My guess is that after the three goes, the interpreter would have kept it going, cause three months later the agency asks her if she wants to meet this guy who is now in Shenzhen, and his first "date" didn't work out. So, my guess is this guy was scammed, but it was not the lady's fault, and she did get notification and interpretation of all three letters.

So, read what you like into this. But I take exception to being called a "putz" by some nuf-nuf who thinks he knows best because he has been to Asia a couple of times (roll-eyes).

@Smithson Wow, the ignorance of this "smithson" is amazing. For the record, I have worked 18 months in Beijing and 12 months in HK, and have been to China about 15 times, North and South. I work as a neurosurgeon. The site is real, the ladies are real, the scammers are real, but I suspect in the minority, and the only thing that doesn't ring real to me are idiotic comments like the above. Sorry, mate, I do not think I am a Putz (I assume that is some sort of American term for an idiot). Unfortunately cannot access this site in the mainland, so I cut/paste yr comment to Hong for a look and to show her friends. They got a good laugh, he he it is no wonder losers like you feel the need to write acerbic idiotic comments like you have. I think maybe you are the one that requires a real job and life. But hey, whatever stokes your fire buddy, I have no stake in this, but it is sad to see a pretty decent site defamed with ignorance. I am sure Chn Love is far from perfect, but it suspect it does its best.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I only talked to one lady that HAS given me her e-mail and all she talks about is how her family are having it rough right now. She has NEVER asked me about money or visas. True, there are many fakes out there. But you have to go through the fakes to find the real deal. Hell, I even talked to one that had a damn visa she paid for herself. If you like the site, good for you, and if you don't move on with your life.

The "translator" comment (@tell you the truth) is simply not true. Well, not universally true, but Chn Love is a conglomeration of agencies, some of which may be scamming men. I wrote to a lady, met her, and apart from the first reply, she did indeed write all the letters. She is intelligent, beautiful but does not speak English. We had a great time, but I decided she was not the one for me. She has three friends who were also on this site, all formed relationships with western men and eventually met them, one is in the process of fiancé visa etc, the other two didn't work out, one mutual, and the other the lady was not that impressed.

These sites have declining popularity in China, because of the lack of suitable men ..... I had a look with her one night, and it was a joke. Talk about the scum of western manhood. Clearly, arrogant Western men think for some reason that Chinese women will take anything. If you are 55, 30kgs overweight, and write to a 25 year old hottie, you are going to get scammed. Not by the woman, but by the translator. Lady reads the letter and profile, says "no thanks" to the translator, who then continues on his merry way with the sucker.

My guess is that there is some sort of latent racism going on in these guys, ........no fellas, if you can’t snag anything in your home-town, don't expect some Chinese hottie to lap it up. As far as I can tell, the successful relationships from this site happen when the man does have realistic expectations, and respect for the women he is dealing with. I also suspect that most of the negative comments and hard luck stories come from the type of client described above. Sorry guys, but the truth hurts us all, and it is about time plenty of you out there faced it.

I've been a member 6 months. Got loads of letters. Unbelievable. All walks of life, doctors, accountants, acupuncturists, upper mgmt executives. The list seems endless. But wouldn’t it? For the most part the ladies seem to want serious relationships and marriage. But emails from them seem short, not really answering questions. So I may be fooled again. Seems about half of you all think we are getting screwed by either Chnlove or one of the agencies working with them. I aint got the money or the emotion to waste on any money hungry, fibbing. If only half of your bad luck or problems with Chn are really scams, well wouldn’t it be a fair assumption, that the longer you communicate via Chnlove, the more chance of getting, you know what. Cause if it aint Chnlove itself, evidently they can't control their individual agencies or don’t really care. Either way it aint looking very good for us men.

Why isn’t Chnlove speaking out on this? Somebody badmouth me, well I usually address the rumor or at least try to clear up misunderstandings. Isn’t that kind of basic communication? Communication is fairly high on Chn's list aint it? Is there a better business bureau in China? I don’t know, he he he...(sorry about that he he bit) Where can we each send 25 bucks to check this? For letters of which half are "ha ha he he" translations? Shoot I got fifty. Small price for good info. Man these China girls, the one I communicate with (spending money on) is hot! But there seems to be some questions here. Hey don’t tell OK? But I have been slicked and kicked by a dame sitting next to me, let alone da other side a de freaking world. IT AINT ABOVE EM.

I know there's somebody reading this that has a buddy in some bar somewhere that knows what to do. Cause my fellow friends, we deserve some facts on this AT LEAST! I’m new at this. Would like suggestions on getting facts.

Well not sure about fake or not. I signed up in Sept 09 and since then I have gotten maybe 15-20 admirers, not a land fall like most are saying. I make good money and stated that on the profile, so I don’t think it can be all that fake. I have been on other sites where I got 45 admirers an hour every day. That I knew was a fake. But I have now been talking to one woman who has sent me her home address in which I found to be her real address in china, not some fake set up address by the agency. I do skip trace work for a living that is how I know it is real and also she gave me her real email address also she does not write me much using the email but she has sent me pictures of her in real life at work with family and friends and most have the date on them. So I know she is real. We are now making plans to meet in a few months in china to get to know each other in person. So I have been one of the lucky ones I guess I have read a lot of these forums and I hear a lot of things but it is life to have bad experience. But you do not blame life for it, you move on to the next experience and hope for the better. If this does not work out for me then I know it was not chnlove’s fault. They have done what they promise to do so far.

Bill your log is timely. I am beginning to have real doubts about this system. The photos are a real concern to me. It’s so easy to fall in love with what looks like a very beautiful and desirable young lady but I am not sure the photos are real and really fear becoming devastated with disappointment if ever I get the chance to meet one. Thus far I have only been in contact with four and one lady I have actually committed my heart to completely and she knows it. But despite endless letters of affection from me and some from her in return she does not want me to visit her yet? The excuse being she needs even more information about my life and fidelity. Even the CIA in your great country would not want to ask me so many questions. I get the impression this is a ploy to get me to spend my entire bank account on e-mail communications. What do you think Bill? Do these ladies really exist? I am a sincere guy not too bad looking and really interested in marrying one of these Chinese beauties.

It’s no fake. The woman I chat with , her messages to me are not the same as other guys get. It’s her message to me translated by a translator and then sent to me. There are a number of women that have listed their email address, phone number, address. most of them just post their address. It’s 5.00 USD to send a message to a lady and only 10.00 USD to view a woman’s address. To do a search, use CHnLove.
