This site is closing down and all existing and new members are being sent to Match.com. They are honoring the contract you had with yahoo for membership and will renew at that price.

I agreed with a few of you out there, yahoo personal's customer service are the rudest. (She was a female personnel/worker) when I first joined, I didn't know much about it. I told them please discontinue after my three month, as I was out of the country. when I return and realized nothing has been done, as I saw the monthly charges still appeared on my credit card statement , since I didn't know how or take the time to find out how to take my profile off the site. I continue receive emails from the guy, though I didn't respond. I just look at them occasionally; the customer service told me that I had been using their web page. I never got my money back...
However there are a lot of positive things about yahoo personal, I still use it sometime, now that I get a little more familiar about it. But for our conveniences they should not block the email address that the interested party sent to one another after all, we all paid our dues for using this service.

Yahoo personals will only allow paying members to have a dialog with other paying members, but not with the thousands of non-paying members who have profiles on their site.

If you see a profile you like, but the member only has a free profile, you can message them but yahoo will delete any contact info you include in your message. The only way that person can respond to you is if they buy a membership.

Most people will not do this so you just think the person is not interested. Yahoo uses the thousands of non-paying members as shills to make the site look more popular than it is.
