@Keisha You wrote a good comment with a good point. It drew some curiosity in me to review your profile. I fully believe the validity of your comment and recognize it as a male issue of immaturity or simply stupidity. I've wondered what type of woman would want to participate with one of these guys who are just looking for a good f--- and will likely never experience the divine beauty of real love making and the amazing bonding thru intimacy. Many of these don't know any different and are too lazy to consider your needs leaving you empty and alone. Please realize that these negative experiences should not degrade POF as a top meeting site. They have little control of members' behaviors even though many are exiled from the site.

@Kathi Seems like you have to learn to make better choices, tall and handsome (with hair) isn't always the best choice but if that is what you choose as important to your values then you should be satisfied.

You have a hacker and a scam artist on your site. He goes by the name of MrMagnificentCa he has a Canada zip code, his birth date is March 10 1963 he lives in the United States, his headline is Lets Make Memories. Please remove him or someone is going to get seriously scammed ,or you are going to lose alot of clients.

You wanna talk about a POF horror story...Well here's one for the record books.

This was a couple years ago and I had just recently become single so I figured I'd test the waters and get a POF account, harmless right?

After a few months of skimming through countless "you're hot" and "damns!!", I finally found a gentleman (or so I thought) who could hold a conversation and was worth following through with. After about a month of back and forth conversations I decided to arrange a coffee date, now I live in Kitchener and this guy lived about 30 minutes away in Woodstock so I figured when I got paid I would throw some gas in my car and make a trip to meet this stranger.

About a week and a half before my trip I came into work to find my boss smiling, when I asked her she said to me "THEY CAUGHT TORI STAFFORDS MURDERER!!", in which I was delighted as we had been following the case through the news for months. They had released his photo from the ones attached to his POF profile and sure enough, the murderer staring back at me in the paper was that of Micheal Rafferty and the exact profile photo of the guy I was supposed to be meeting in about a week. I broke down in tears as if they had waited any longer to catch him I may have ended up like the 8 year old girl this guy dismembered and murdered outside of Woodstock.

Now I will not touch POF with a ten foot pole as you never know the back-story of that profile picture.

I've been a member of this site for about 3 year's now. And I've had nothing but a great time
and would recommend it to any single person. I've only had 1 bad date since I've been there.
I've meet some really pretty and very nice Lady's , Beat's the heck out of all the pay for online dating site's. Everyone that's complaining just is'nt doing it right!!

@Altair You must be a complete idiot. I have met many wonderful women on pof, I have been off the site now for 4 months I am still in daily contact with 12 wonderful ladies. I got to know on this site. Sorry about your luck numnuts.

I have tried POF several times and found, from a female perspective, that it is full of serial daters, men looking for fwb situations and/or men with serious issues, such as being mentally ill, chronically unemployed or being extremely neurotic.

Try something new. I am a middle age man an being 57 years old the club seen is a long time ago so a pal of mine told me to give this a shot.

Sorry, but I tried POF a couple of times, and every time I got a very very creepy feeling from it. Seems none of the men actually read the profiles, they just click the "want to meet you" button. I specifically asked that if someone were interested, to write and tell me more about themselves ... and that I would not answer a note that simply said "hi". Yep, you guessed it ... several "hi's", a bunch of "you're pretty" 1-sentence notes, and only one who actually told me a little. But it was very little - definitely not enough to interest me. Personally, I think it's a matter of you get what you pay for. And in this case, you're paying nothing, so you're going to get nothing. My feeling is that most of the people on POF either aren't really serious about wanting to find a partner, or are so broke/out-of-work they can't really afford to date anyway. If a person is actually serious about wanting to find someone for a REAL relationship (and want to use a dating site to do so), they'll pay to be on a decent one. As for me, don't think I'll be back there ... any time.

This website is a scam. Women don't answer mail information. Even if they're fat and unpleasant they have a very overpriced perspective of themselves. I think the rate is way manipulated favoring those warthogs. I think feminism has damaged the National lady. They be mean these days.

Looking for someone with similar interests to spend time with and share life experiences.

@Ellis I'm having the same difficulty on POF as a black man in Ontario Canada.. The girls just don't respond at all. I'm an attractive man, have a career and all of that, not a gangsta, dresses well and so on. The women here seem like they just want white men. Some seem like they would rather have a white man that treats them like garbage (some even being physical with them) than deal with a black man that would treat them properly.

Sometimes another thing that goes against us is they assume we are players too which girls have directly told me they thought i was because I look good.

I remember years ago it was so easy to get white girls. I guess the times have changed lol.

@robin evelyn Robin, You must have fallen for a copycat site "Plenty of Fish" do not charge and I have been with them in the UK for about 12 months. I have met three lovely ladies that unfortunately did not turn out to be soul mates. I have also attended two of their singles functions that are organised by local members. They are fun evenings with a mixture of all sorts.

I had this waste of time for about 6 months to a year. All it did was give me no responses and a bunch of nothing. I am not the best looking guy but I made sure I stayed in my league and did not go for the hottest girl there. I even picked a few chubby girls that appeared to have good personalities. Somehow I received no response for being "that nice guy women appeared to want in their profiles". If women feel that they should think that highly of themselves on a dating site to not even give a courtesy response, then they shouldn't be on the site in the first place. A dating site to me means you are willing to sacrifice looks for happiness and if you can't do that then you should really have your head examined.

Have done the Unsubscribe routine six times, over a few months... can't get off this site!

@jon simpson Plenty of fish is a scam, I had joined for only four days, I received a couple of messages from a woman I thought was interested in me, and in order for me to see those messages I had to subscribe for a minimum of 1 3 6 or 12 months. I chose the 3 month option, and within 5 minutes of paying them £89 British pounds from my credit card, which I had just topped up with £300 as my card was at its credit limit, they then decided to block me and remove my profile and close my account. I checked with my credit card company, and they had taken almost £300 from my account. I am very angry, I won't say what I would like to do to this person, but believe me they will never be seen again, their time on this planet would have expired. My advice to anybody thinking of joining these thieves and scammers will regret it, do your research first so you don't end up with your heart and bank account broken, you have been warned.

This site used to be good..... I had to cancel it because it got boring... then after a year I wanted to reopen my account ... Now they don't let people from Puerto Rico or the Caribbean to signup.... That is stupid.

@jon simpson I have been on POF for a few years, not once have I had to pay for anything.. Even when i made a profile being an ass just to see what would happen!
