FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
| Q. How does pay-per-click work? |
A. Pay-per-click, or cost-per-click advertising means that
you pay a set amount each time
your advert receives a valid click. In other words, you pay per visitor instead of paying a fixed amount. The amount that you decide to pay (bid) per click determines the
ranking of your advert.
In the search results, adverts with the highest bids appear first.
Many
studies have shown that the top 3 or 4 search
result receive 90% of all clicks.
Each time your advert receives a valid click, your bid amount is deducted
from the balance of
your bidding account. Your ad will continue to appear until your bidding account deposit is spent. When the credit in your bidding
account is low, you will receive
an email reminder to make an additional deposit.

| Q. How do I add my site? |
A. First you need to sign-up as a member by creating an account. Once
you have created your
account, you can add as many sites as you wish. Each
site will be reviewed to ensure that it fits
within the scope of our site and
categories. Once accepted, you will receive an email confirmation, and you can
then set-up the advertising programme for your
site.

| Q. What is smart-bidding and proxy
bidding? |
A. Smart-bidding allows you to specify the desired position of your
advert for one or more of
your chosen keywords. For example, suppose you want
your ad to appear in position 3 every time someone searches on the words,
dating London. The system will automatically set your
bid amounts so that
they are just enough so that your ad appears at your chosen position.
Note that smart bidding applies only at the time you set your bids. It does
not make any
adjustments to your bids afterwards.
With proxy bidding, you specify a maximum amount that you are willing to bid
for your chosen
keywords or categories. During any search, the system will
bid for you up to the maximum
amount that you have specified. For example,
suppose you set a proxy bid of $0.25 for the
category Online dating-Popular,
and suppose that the highest bid in this category is $0.05. When someone searches this category,
the system will increase your bid to $0.06, to give you a more favorable
ranking.
At any time, the
system will only bid up to your maximum proxy bid.

| Q. What are the Hotzones? |
A. On the bidding page, you can bid on special keywords called
Hotzones. These Hotzone
appear at certain places on the site, for example
under the categories box on the introduction
page, or when a search doesn't
return any results. You bid on these Hotzones in the same
way you would
ordinary keywords. Bid amount on Hotzones tend to be higher than on
ordinary
keywords since only a small number of ads are
ever displayed in the Hotzone.

| Q. How do I rent sponsor boxes? |
A. Sponsor boxes can be rented for a certain period, giving you
the benefit of knowing your
advert will always appear in a highly prominent
location for a fixed cost. There are 2 types of
sponsor box. The first appear
as static links on the homepage. The second appear as floating
sidebar boxes
on the search results page. The second type are associated with a
particular
keyword during a search, whilst the first type are fixed links and always
appear on the homepage. Fixed links have the advantage that they are more easily indexed by web spiders, and can increase your sites ranking within major search engines.
To rent a sponsor box, first log on
to your account, then under the manage bids menu there is a
link called rent
sponsor boxes. From here you can chose to rent either type of sponsor box. To
rent a link on the front page, you must use the special keyword front_page_placement (front
page links are limited to 9 at any time). To
rent an ordinary sponsor box, simply enter your
chosen keyword
for your advert.
You will need to have sufficient credit in your bidding account to rent a
sponsor box. Sponsor
boxes cost $250 per month. There is no cost for clicks
on sponsor boxes, you simply pay the
monthly fee.

keywords? |
A. Yes, you can control the placement of your advert by bidding

| Q. Can my site be displayed only in certain
geographical regions? |
A. No. Although we have the option to do this, presently we do
not, because we feel it is better
to let the visitor decide how to focus
their search. Many people browse the Web whilst away
from home, on holiday
or business or they may be online on behalf of somebody else, who might
be
located in another area. For this reason we don't favor automatically
restricting search
results to local
listings.
The advanced search option allows a target geographical region of the site
to be chosen.
Furthermore, if you have specified a target region for your
site, your listing will be displayed for
text searches on this region name
(to guarantee a high placement, you will also need to bid on
this as a keyword).

| Q. Can funds be withdrawn from my bidding
account? |
A. A significant proportion of the funds that we receive in bidding
accounts are used to market
our site and therefore in part, your adverts as
well. We do offer a 30 day refund policy, but in general
it should be
recognized that deposits into your bidding account are not available for
withdrawal.
The purpose of the introductory credit is to give you sufficient amount to enable you to test the service, and decide if it is appropriate for your site. We strongly recommend that you don't make large deposits into your bidding account until you have tested your ad programme. This will ensure that you have not over-funded your account with credit that may not be spent for a long period.
