To register on the site, there’s a single form to complete, upon which you’ll be prompted to choose an avatar for your profile, or to upload a profile image. Accounts are approved automatically, and there’s no need to activate the account it via email. There’s currently no charge to use this site. However the number of members is quite low at present - the pricing could change in the future as the site grows in popularity.
The top menu lists a bewildering array of pages, tools and features that can be explored. The “People” tab lists various ways of finding other users, from straightforward searching, to checking birthdays, top rated users, who’s online, world map view, featured and so on... Most are self explanatory. Although some of the searches are a little unusual. The “calendar search” will show you people who’ve joined on a certain day. There’s also a handy map search that lets you zoom in on a particular geographic area and find all users around that location. The pictures and videos section will show you popular content uploaded by other users.
Once you’ve found someone to contact, you can message them through the site’s internal email or send them a befriend request. It’s also possible to post a public message on their profile page. On viewing a person’s profile, the actions (mail, friend requests, chat etc.) are shown in the side panel. You won’t see the usual “hand-cursor” when putting the mouse over these items. However, when clicked these buttons do work.
AdultDatingForMe is largely a user driven community where you’re free to contact others using the site, and to create and upload your own content. Since the site is self governing, it does mean there’s some spam (especially in the forums) to navigate.
