Nigel is crazy. This site is such a scam it's incredible. You'd be better off saving your money to spend on peep shows.

I am an American who currently lives and works in China. I have lived here twice and once met a Chinese woman, fell in love and brought her to America and her daughter. It was a total disaster!!... But, I won't go into that. You can't judge all women by one bad one and you can't judge all Chinese women by one bad one. I will say Chnlove is one of the more expensive if not the most expensive site per letter. The trouble I found when I decided to join was the expenses that mount up and I don't ...

I wish I had of found this post sooner, anyhow... I am in china at this moment and I can say from my own experience, Chnlove letters and replies are not real! However the ladies are real, I have met with several of them.

The lady I had come to meet was not at all interested but Chnlove introduced me to another lady, and things seem to be going quite well over the past few days. Anyhow, as for the reply letters I can assure you they are not real, I was out skiing with this lady when her last letter was written haha.

Chnlove is very helpful but dishonest at the same time! Use caution!

I will talk with the lady and find out her real answers and replies to my questions anyhow, will post here again in a few days.

I tend to agree with Nigel the neuro surgeon. Scammers and people trying to get your money exist absolutely everywhere online, just like they do in real life. If you meet someone trying to scam you online, it doesn’t mean the site is fraudulent. You have to be careful, you have to use common sense, you have to learn to "smell a rat" so to speak because being misled by someone at the other end of a computer is a whole lot easier than being misled by someone face to face. A site like Chnlove has no way of vetting everyone using the site, just like other dating sites can’t. Most big sites now carry a legal disclaimer that actually tells you that they don’t do background checks on people using their sites - so the bottom line is "enjoy the site but take part at your own risk".

@Nigel As a forensic accountant, I find it interesting that a distinguished neurosurgeon can spend all his time and money on a site like Chnlove. LMAO. In between your several trips to China and forwarding messages to your girlfriend, did you ever consider going to date sites that cater to millionaire male candidates online?

Well, that is, of course, any legitimate, well-off professional would even consider going to a fraudulent website like Chnlove to begin with. There must not be many professional colleagues or nurses at your hospitals, "doctor". LOL.

Since you couldn't possibly be a liar, maybe the reason why you can afford to support Chnlove's fraudulent activity is that, unlike the poor pleebs we all are, you have so much money to flush online than we do. Never mind the surprises and extortionate amounts that await guys without a lot of common sense but a lot of hormones. Everybody should check online and read the legal battles with this outfit, and then ask yourself how pathetic some scammers can get like the "doctor" here. Maybe you can post your website and credentials and we can have the guys on Chnlove give you a call to fix their loneliness.

    Good d'ay "mate". That's a term a non-Australians uses to hide his real low-life, isn't it?

@David He he, David, no, Hong is the name of a Chinese woman I know. I guess we would call ourselves friends now, the "spark" wasn't there. Actually, I have never driven a truck, but I remember wanting to as a child!!

Not sure if I am a gifted neurosurgeon, I included my occupation in response to the comment that labelled me as a "putz" (whatever that is). But yes, that is my profession. I am attached to the medical staff at the Austin Hospital, so if you check the list, you will see only one of the neuro team with a first name Nigel... that is me. Come to think of it, I am the only one with an initial "N", so your task is even easier!!!

I really do not know why this site gets so many negative comments when the ladies are most certainly real, I have met plenty of them thru my meeting with Hong, but all my post intended to do was show those reviewing the site, possibly with the intention of using it, an alternative opinion. I know the ladies exist, so the idea that there are a set of unscrupulous interpreters stealing your money without even having any ladies on the books is just rubbish.

If you are wasting your money, it is because your expectations and unrealistic.
I have no doubt that translators continue to communicate with men after the lady says "no thanks", but in my experience, saying "no thanks" only happens in unrealistic circumstance.

Here is a good example. Hong is a tall, very beautiful lady aged 27. Her profile indicated a desired age of 30-40 years. She received three EMF's from a Swiss guy, aged 63, who was 105kgs and 176cms tall, and looked like Jabba the Hutt. I saw the profile and letters... wow, not even a mother could love that. She had told the interpreter "no thanks" on the first letter, but the guy kept going. My guess is that after the three goes, the interpreter would have kept it going, cause three months later the agency asks her if she wants to meet this guy who is now in Shenzhen, and his first "date" didn't work out. So, my guess is this guy was scammed, but it was not the lady's fault, and she did get notification and interpretation of all three letters.

So, read what you like into this. But I take exception to being called a "putz" by some nuf-nuf who thinks he knows best because he has been to Asia a couple of times (roll-eyes).

@Nigel, I could swear you are the same guy who is the truck driver on the other site. Must be interesting being such a gifted neurosurgeon.

I would think Chnlove could use someone like you to drive their truck and help them sell their wonderful company that has caused many men to waste their money.

Hong is the name of your pet monkey, isn't it?

Nigel the Neurosurgeon, I can't claim to be an expert like yourself or Smithson there. I've only travelled to Asia once and not China, myself. So what exactly is this "ignorance" of Smithson or the others here? I've read all 2 pages of posts and in particular found the comments useful, especially the scamming that is clearly going on with this "match" site called Chnlove. I think Smithson is suggesting that Chnlove is obsolete in this era of technology and I'd tend to agree. His post offered a pretty good picture of what to expect for me at least. I didn't think your post added much to this thread to be honest. That's my opinion, anyway.

By and large, I would not recommend any of these suspect sites, but Chnlove is clearly one of them.

I joined chnlove in Sept, 2009 and have been corresponding with what appears to be a very lovely young lady with a 4 yr old daughter. Very early she sent me a picture of herself with her daughter, stating it was taken 2 years ago, hmmm. O k, we kept up the chat, and I made the move to devote my heart to her. She backed off a bit, so I suggested to come to china in the spring to meet her, as friends, no commitments. She refused and said that summer would be better for her, knowing that I cannot travel in the summers due to my work. Our conversations have since turned very "bland". I am now having doubts as to her intentions to find love, or even if she is a real person.
I started chatting with another lady, and she is very eager to meet me, at my best convenience. We have great conversations, much talk of love and such. But something doesn't feel right. It seems she wants me to promise her true love before I come. I try to explain to her we must meet first before I can commit myself to her. I'm still on the fence about the whole thing.

@Smithson Wow, the ignorance of this "smithson" is amazing. For the record, I have worked 18 months in Beijing and 12 months in HK, and have been to China about 15 times, North and South. I work as a neurosurgeon. The site is real, the ladies are real, the scammers are real, but I suspect in the minority, and the only thing that doesn't ring real to me are idiotic comments like the above. Sorry, mate, I do not think I am a Putz (I assume that is some sort of American term for an idiot). Unfortunately cannot access this site in the mainland, so I cut/paste yr comment to Hong for a look and to show her friends. They got a good laugh, he he it is no wonder losers like you feel the need to write acerbic idiotic comments like you have. I think maybe you are the one that requires a real job and life. But hey, whatever stokes your fire buddy, I have no stake in this, but it is sad to see a pretty decent site defamed with ignorance. I am sure Chn Love is far from perfect, but it suspect it does its best.

Like I posted a couple of months, ago, apologies for sounding harsh but it's incredible the number of Putz-es on the internet (see my post back in November @Smithson). Chnlove apparently borrows a long-standing model. Some review sites call it "multi-level" scamming, others have noted it's a knock-off of other scam 'date' sites that have been out there for a number of years. Essentially, it is convenient for the company to keep blaming its "agencies" when they are invariably exposed by clients. Ask yourself: if the company is blameless, does it really matter when you’re paying the mastermind company, directly? If you don't know what a shell game is, do a search on the internet.

In any event, read what I originally posted. If you've never been to China, research and keep researching until it sticks in your brain. Loneliness is NOT an excuse to be stupid.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I only talked to one lady that HAS given me her e-mail and all she talks about is how her family are having it rough right now. She has NEVER asked me about money or visas. True, there are many fakes out there. But you have to go through the fakes to find the real deal. Hell, I even talked to one that had a damn visa she paid for herself. If you like the site, good for you, and if you don't move on with your life.

The "translator" comment (@tell you the truth) is simply not true. Well, not universally true, but Chn Love is a conglomeration of agencies, some of which may be scamming men. I wrote to a lady, met her, and apart from the first reply, she did indeed write all the letters. She is intelligent, beautiful but does not speak English. We had a great time, but I decided she was not the one for me. She has three friends who were also on this site, all formed relationships with western men and eventually met them, one is in the process of fiancé visa etc, the other two didn't work out, one mutual, and the other the lady was not that impressed.

These sites have declining popularity in China, because of the lack of suitable men ..... I had a look with her one night, and it was a joke. Talk about the scum of western manhood. Clearly, arrogant Western men think for some reason that Chinese women will take anything. If you are 55, 30kgs overweight, and write to a 25 year old hottie, you are going to get scammed. Not by the woman, but by the translator. Lady reads the letter and profile, says "no thanks" to the translator, who then continues on his merry way with the sucker.

My guess is that there is some sort of latent racism going on in these guys, ........no fellas, if you can’t snag anything in your home-town, don't expect some Chinese hottie to lap it up. As far as I can tell, the successful relationships from this site happen when the man does have realistic expectations, and respect for the women he is dealing with. I also suspect that most of the negative comments and hard luck stories come from the type of client described above. Sorry guys, but the truth hurts us all, and it is about time plenty of you out there faced it.

I am a translator from the site in China. I can tell you the truth. The letter from the girl to you, are written by the translator. I have work there for some days, but when I know it is a trick I left. When you send letter to the Chinese girl, the translator reply them, and they can get the money from your letter. You can see, you cannot write to them girls mail, or sometimes the translator sign up the mail for the girl and they tell you the mail is from the girl, but the girl never sent the mail.

If you say you would direct communicate with the girl, the letter from the translator would tell you: no time, no cable, no computer, cannot understand the English. If you would not write to the girl, from the fourth day, the next letter would be coming. The letter would tell you why do you not write to her. Do you know, it is a trick? It is just for your money. Do not waste money on the website.

If you have some question, you can write to me, no fee, my mail is shaodazhangjia@qq.com.

I've been a member 6 months. Got loads of letters. Unbelievable. All walks of life, doctors, accountants, acupuncturists, upper mgmt executives. The list seems endless. But wouldn’t it? For the most part the ladies seem to want serious relationships and marriage. But emails from them seem short, not really answering questions. So I may be fooled again. Seems about half of you all think we are getting screwed by either Chnlove or one of the agencies working with them. I aint got the money or the emotion to waste on any money hungry, fibbing. If only half of your bad luck or problems with Chn are really scams, well wouldn’t it be a fair assumption, that the longer you communicate via Chnlove, the more chance of getting, you know what. Cause if it aint Chnlove itself, evidently they can't control their individual agencies or don’t really care. Either way it aint looking very good for us men.

Why isn’t Chnlove speaking out on this? Somebody badmouth me, well I usually address the rumor or at least try to clear up misunderstandings. Isn’t that kind of basic communication? Communication is fairly high on Chn's list aint it? Is there a better business bureau in China? I don’t know, he he he...(sorry about that he he bit) Where can we each send 25 bucks to check this? For letters of which half are "ha ha he he" translations? Shoot I got fifty. Small price for good info. Man these China girls, the one I communicate with (spending money on) is hot! But there seems to be some questions here. Hey don’t tell OK? But I have been slicked and kicked by a dame sitting next to me, let alone da other side a de freaking world. IT AINT ABOVE EM.

I know there's somebody reading this that has a buddy in some bar somewhere that knows what to do. Cause my fellow friends, we deserve some facts on this AT LEAST! I’m new at this. Would like suggestions on getting facts.

So I guess I’ll follow up on here to let you know what happens when I meet my love. The flight was cancelled due to the weather in JFK airport area. So now I wait till the next departure. I’m on standby for 5pm if no room I have a flight going out on the next day at 5pm. Stay tuned I hope it works out.

As someone who travels to Asia and other countries regularly, I am constantly amazed at the stupidity on the internet. Chnlove and scam sites like it.

For those posters who continue to broadcast how 'lucky' they are to receive 'real' messages and even found their 'true love', it would be nice if they also provided some context on the reality of things.

China's urban population has seen an incredible modernization in only a few years: if you wander the streets, you will find the presence of international chains like Starbucks, McD's, etc. Many females (esp. younger demographics) work in offices (mostly multi-national / foreign invested), are functionally bilingual in English or have superior language skills than these WWW dolts are willing to tell you (or maybe they just haven't been to China long enough).

Yes, on Scam Sites like CHNLOVE, one may find a select group of mainly OLDER, divorced or widowed ladies - incidentally, usually with those infamous studio photos - so if you want a Caregiver or Housekeeper, you can 'buy' yourself one at good expense. Then give yourself a pat on the back for: a) contributing to the exploitation of not only yourself, but someone in dire situations (who needless to say is likely be exploited in China) and b) for being such a PUTZ.

If you want to meet a lady for "free" (gosh, but isn't that the way grand-pappy and most 'normal' guys did it on the 'old days'??) - just use your computer and your connection to the internet. What do you think it's for? To join CHNLOVE which has limited utility and provides nothing more than a means for a 3rd party to exploit you?

These rouges online who keep touting how 'great' it was that they found “The One” in China should spend their time enjoying their supposed happiness. If it were so wonderful.

That, and playing checkers, while they find a real job in life.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I can't believe how stupid people can be. For every so-called 'positive' attribute for scam sites like this one, you will find 100 more, namely unnecessary extortion for something you can do for free with modest effort by using your brain and legitimate resources on the internet. Fortunately, many guys have indeed figured it out. Don't pay for something that you don't need.

Harry, I hope you did not go to China and get married. If you get married in China it will take 2 years for an I-130 Petition for Alien Relative. A fiancé visa I-129 takes a year. I know. I have applied for both. My wife and I got married in China and it cancelled our I-129 fiancé visa which was ready after 12 months. We had to start all over again. It has taken almost 2 years for the I-130 for a wife. I started applying for the first fiancé visa on 11-24-06. It has been 3 years. The final Guangzhou Consulate appointment for the wife visa should be on November 30th. All visas go through Guangzhou so I hear.

As for Chnlove, I have received hundreds of admirer letters. Some were from hot chicks, a third of my age, but their preferred choices from their profile did not match me at all. I had one lady I was going to send a free letter to. I checked her profile and waited to write her until the next day. Before I could send her a free hello note, I received an admirer letter from her. They must monitor who we are surveying. Once she sent the admirer letter, I could not send any free letters to her. Coincidence???? hahahahahahahaha.

I found my wife on another website. She wanted to e-mail me directly immediately and even though she did not have a computer, she found a friend with a computer so we could do the Yahoo Messenger voice video. She did not want to wait for translated letters. She found a friend who speaks English to translate her e mails for her. Many people speak English in China. It is taught in the schools and universities now. Just about everybody has a cell phone too. My wife was real. I have been to China 9 times over the 3 years. My Mandarin is getting better each time.

Good luck and happiness to you.

    John

The world is fraught with people trying to get you to part with your hard earned money through deception. I've personally met four women from Chnlove and they are in fact real. Like some of the other posters stated buyer beware. Some of these desperate guys believe that these hot young girls are searching for an old, old looking, ugly, fat westerner so they jump in hook line and sinker in this thing. I've perused the Chnlove men's companion site and it ain't pretty. 1 out of a hundred guys might actually be good looking and not fall into the above categories. Part of the blame should be because the men have unreal expectations. Would this girl really find me attractive? My Chnlove relationships didn't work out but that was simply incompatibility issues. It's real yet you must proceed with caution. You cannot be victimized unless you allow it. The girl is in love with you and you're no prize package. Commonsense, would a girl like this back home see me this way? Ultimately I've found my love in China on my own yet still have faith in Chnlove that love can be found there. China Shark Mike

It's a scammed website, young girls just cooperate with those agencies 'network' in China, when each time male member send messages and receive messages the girls could get commission. I've been to the agency in Nanning province Guang Xi China, the agency is very mysterious and they refused to answer any questions. The agency is totally different as the picture where on the web site.
