Cupid's Album
CupidsAlbum is a new picture personals community where members can upload photos, videos, and music and chat with one another. The registration is free; however, new joiners must upload a photo of themselves in order to complete the account creation process. Accounts must also be activated by clicking the email link that will be sent to your designated email address. On entering the site, you’ll be able to personalize your profile by adding photos, videos and other media files. Videos containing adult material must be flagged as such. You can also choose to receive comments from other members.
Finding suitable members to chat with can be achieved either through the search link; there’s a quick search, as well as a “my matches” page. You’ll only receive suggested matches once you’ve completed your profile sufficiently. The addictive “Hot or Not” feature allows you to flick through members’ photos, giving your own rating. Other members can also rate you unless you switch off the picture viewing options in your privacy settings.
Free members will discover that communication (including creating friend lists) is locked until they’ve upgraded to one of the paid membership plans.

At first I was skeptical. I have seen a lot of dating website, been through a few of them, and paid a lot of money from membership fees with eHarmony, Adultfriendfinder, etc. and then I saw Cupid when they were advertising on facebook. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the facebook ad and liked what I saw. The only thing that alerted me that their membership base was really low, but to be fair, they were giving out free 1 year memberships as a Valentines special to build up their membership until mid February because they were brand new. For a new dating site, i think they are pretty damn classy. Most websites, it's all trash or you get redirected to another website, or there is some catch. I am glad I got the free membership for the year for when I joined up as part of their promotion.
It seems now their population has boomed. I read their news today on their front page and they advertise they have over 200,000 singles now. So going over all the options of men there are for me to pick from, i'm glad I signed up when I did. For those that missed the promotion on facebook, if I am still single come next year, I think $9 is a pretty cheap price to pay for a potential lifetime hookup if you ask me. <3 At least when you compare it to all the $21.00/mo+ websites. As far as the free websites, nothing is ever really free.
I think they are potentially a 5 star dating website. I gave it 4 stars because they are new, and need more members, but show a lot of potential with growth if they are guided in the right direction. The website is easy to use and there is no pop ups or aggravating third party crap that steers me away.
