After spending 2 hours and 20 minutes answering the myriad of questions they found "no matches" only one near miss in Ireland. Too bad I don't live even close to Ireland. Then when I try to cancel and remove all my information from their website the link doesn't work. Thank god I didn't spend any money on this site. Don't get caught...stay away.
Nice to see a website like this, good to have people interaction through this site.
The personality profile seemed to be an accurate depiction of me. The profile glowed with compliments, but I haven't had a match yet! I joined in May 2009. Customer service is non-existent with this outfit.
5 stars for the accuracy of the personality test. 1 star for everything else. I've sent two e-mails that have not been responded to. I get an error message every time I try to upload my pictures, even though I have successfully uploaded the same pictures to other dating sites and the file size and format are correct. I'm in California and I got matched with a guy in New York and a guy in England. I'm glad I saw Ellis' comment above. I thought I was the only one with no matches. Until they improve their tech support and customer service, I'm not giving them any of my money.
I have tried several times to take the personality test and log into the site to try it, but I consistently get error messages. I have emailed customer service for help, but no one ever responds. Their matching system sounds intriguing, but I guess I will never know since it's impossible to log in.
I found eChemistry after a TV advertisement. The best part for me was the personality profile. Answered the 200 or so questions, and somehow they worked up a personality profile that was 100 percent me.... unbelievably so... I learned stuff about myself. However, I was matched only with 1 person from somewhere in Canada. So either I'm some weird un-matchable personality or there are too few persons in their database yet.
I'm amazed at how bad their customer service is. It's as if they have a staff of three.
I put up a profile, but had some specific questions before I paid them. The best rate requires six months pre-pay. So, I wanted to know their cancellation policy if I'm not happy with the match quality, along with a couple of other things I wanted to know.
I've gotten several "auto-replies" that said if my question hasn't been answered, to respond to the message. I have, each time. Or, that someone will call me, and what's the best number. That was over a week ago. And now, they say that if I'm not getting the answers I need, to call their 800 number.
I've gotten messages of interest from a few men, but I can't even get a reply from echemistry about hiding my profile until when/if I pay them - so these guys may think I'm blowing them off.
And if that's how they treat a serious prospect - it doesn't look very promising to me as far as the rest of their service.
I am trying to find out if the site has finally become live. I am an original member and was supposed to have 1-year free access. A friend of mine never received notification either.
I've never seen a site so devoted to quality. At echemistry.com I get fewer matches, but they're actually good! I know that any person that eChemistry matches me with is worth getting to know. It's simply, the best!
