This country-specific site from Lavalife offers Aussie singles their own portal customized to their area of the world. While Lavalife is a decent site, I’ve personally found the sign-up on all of their portals to be both tricky and rather unpredictable. On trying to use the Facebook connect feature, an error message is displayed saying that the account can’t be created. However, later a Facebook prompt appears, asking for permission to access personal data, so whether the account was created or not wasn’t clear. Creating an account directly on the site, and bypassing Facebook connect was also fraught with problems.
Once access is achieved, the Lavalife site presents a basic set of tools and features, including email and instant messaging, forums, quick flirts as well as an online magazine.
