I will have to agree with Frank. I recently opened an account on plentyoffish. I was happy with a few of my matches and we were holding great conversations, so I already had a couple of candidates. I came to log in today only to find that my account was deleted. I never received an email as to why. I read the agreement and nothing on there indicates that I breached it. I tried to create the account again with another name and email to see what happens, I get the same result. It really sucks, I was having such a good time. Guess that's why there are paid sites.

I've been on Plenty of Fish for a few months on and off, met a couple of people but I find if you are not a male super model or drop dead gorgeous, or making over $100,000 per year the girls don't want to look at you. Now for you girls, even you hot ones, your life span for being sexy and beautiful comes to an end after 40. For most of you, after you have kids, you never look that good!! So one thing more ladies, give the average Joe a chance for once.

I have to agree with all the above. What a nice time I had for 1 day. That was the use I had, so switched to another site (Christian). This one doesn't have nude pop-ups that are spelled so close to this one. Shame!

What kind of website screws their customers over? Do they not want more people using their webpage, and registering? I could not even register. Apparently after typing in about 15 variations of my name, including 14-character long 'jerhgvoiengine886' type user names, all of them were said to be taken. That's right! Every single user name I could think of was taken.

Plentyoffish.com to me, is a disgrace. I must really apologise for my language. Plenty of fish? More like plenty of trash! I have never had the misfortune of encountering something so user-hating. It's almost like a holocaust for people trying to date online, with profiles being deleted, people not being able to register - and not even a courteous reply as to why such things have happened.

    I give this website a -10 out of 0.

I had the same problem. I had my account open for three days and meet several great guys. Then my profile was deleted for no reason, no warning or anything. I did everything they said to fix the problem - created my profile again and again nothing happened. If this is their customer service it sucks. I won't be surprised if the company bombs soon. I thought it was great to have a free website until this happened. If anyone knows how to fix the problem, please help. I also sent several emails but had no response.

Woh, this free dating site is simple and makes tons of money. He is so smart in marketing.

I had a profile on Plenty of Fish for many months, made many friends of whom I stayed in contact with. I logged on one Sunday afternoon and things were working fine, logged on again on a Monday evening, only to find my whole profile had been lost. I have been trying ever since to re-create my profile. I've done nothing wrong but still fail to create my profile again. I get as far a loading my Pictures, I do a search send some emails then hey presto its gone again.

I've sent numerous emails to their customer services but not once had a reply. What's the point in having a customer services desk if you are not going to respond? This man who runs this website by himself will find himself out of a job before long if this continues and he does not respond to people who are having problems with the website.

My overall description of plentyoffish.com is , I'm disgusted that someone can run a dating site this way, all people want to do is meet others and possibly romance, how can one do that if there are problems. This man who runs this site is a little harsh to say the least.

After having a profile on plentyoffish.com for a couple of months, I was deleted as I was trying to answer mail. It deleted my profile for no reason and I can't get back in under a new profile. I checked all the rules. I broke none of them.

I was talking to someone I liked, but don't have his last name or email. Emailed POF two days ago. No response. His business is gonna fail if he runs it like that. Doesn't matter how many hits he gets per day!

There is a sense of anonymity on the internet which is why any crook or predator can sign up for one of these free or paid dating sites. One should really be careful and perform all due diligence before going and seeing anyone they met on the internet. One good tool to help make internet dating easier is this site http://www.theDateLog.com where you can find the history of your potential date and see what others had to say about him/her.

Well I think it just goes to show, if you're earning half Million dollars a month from adverts on your site, you don't need to worry about little things like user support. See Big Check! It's a pity because otherwise I think it's a good site and was one of first to offer free dating.

I don't know who manages this site. It's pathetic. I can't log-in or register into this site and there's no reason why it is not registering me. No contact and proper user support for this site. This way soon this site will be a thrash box.

I was very skeptical of dating sites because of past experiences, but when a friend recommended POF I figured I had nothing to lose. It turns out I had much to gain! I met an incredible man and we have been dating for the past six weeks. I would recommend this site to anyone who is sick of the other dating sites, or even to those who haven't tried online dating.

Christy, I can't give you any help. I sent emails to POF telling them of my problem. To date (weeks), still no reply, and I highly doubt I will get one. Good luck to you in figuring out what the problem is.

I have the same exact problem with POF. Have to keep re-registering only to find I'm booted off within minutes. Totally frustrating. I emailed POF several times about this. Never have received a reply.

I was cut off from Plentyoffish.com for no reason or explanation given. Now I am unable to contact someone that I believe was special. How painful!

True, it's easy to get up with a profile, and I had a very satisfying number of responses....BUT, and this is a big one...after being online with the profile for one day, my username and password wouldn't work the next. Thus I stopped having any "hits" because my profile was deleted. I re-signed on and recreated my profile 5 or 6 times but have given up in disgust. I have contacted the site designer and moderator who boasts that he does all the work himself from his apartment. Hey, better to hire someone so that you can keep things running better and offer some customer service. I've received no response from my letters to the site owner. What a disappointment!

Your site is on the nose... When I go to Plentyofish.com it says your username and password is invalid. then the damn site gives a few stupid word letters and then throws the applicant off and keeps repeating you must agree yadda yadda..well how can anyone agree when this stupid things pops up continually and it is absolutely frustrating to say the least. plenty of fish? I think the fish has gone off. Better try and bring in a fresh salmon.
