The whole site is a gimmic, with all the gimmics and more gimmics. I have also noticed that you get banned a little too fast on pof. I think it would be time to take Markus down, let’s make a team.

Have met 2 fantastic women on pof and both have become very close and personnel friends of mine. Would recommend pof to anyone who would like to make friends or more. These people that complain about logging on to pof should consider picking up a real computer because pof does not discriminate. Maybe they should stop being cheap. Thank you pof for improving my love life. You’re a class act.

Maybe it’s just me… I find the quality of men on POF and sites like it is extremely low - in the gutter almost. So far I’ve only come across 2 types of guys there. First are the ones too cheap to pay to get on a respectable site. Ok, I know times are tough but any guy who’s too stingy to pay $20 or $30 to get onto a real site, you have to ask “are they really worth dating”? Second are the ones who’ve got something to hide. Usually it’s an unsuspecting wife or girlfriend, or could be something worse like a con. You’ve gotta ask, “what are they doing there in the first place”? Are they there for a real reason, or are they just playing around? So far I’ve only seen the players.

I have to say that this site frustrates me. I couldn't even get to register in the first place. The username has been taken, alright so I simply just key in it’s impossible to have another username with this 'vivivisasasasodipodi1293' but still it has been taken, like totally 'with'. This site is gonna be a thrash in the end if the person who runs this site keeps doing this way.

Terrible site. Poorly run and managed. It's down quite often and it will delete your profile w/o (something that I found out the hard way) warning and you'll be unable to use the same email address to re-register or register another profile.

Frankly, I keep three or four free email address handy in case I am booted. You can get back on the site within minutes if you do that... Same text...same picture...everything. It is good if you like casual encounters... But anything serious is better left to a pay site. This site is a joke...luckily it's a free one.

I have used this website for well over a year and never had any trouble until the past few days. However, it seems to be working just fine now. I am dismayed that they have eliminated the chat portion as I found it very helpful. Does anyone know anything about that?

This site needs a customer service menu where questions and comments can be forwarded. It is essential to any business model today to have such a service. This site has a posted question - answer section which is good for common issues, but it does not allow for customer feedback for improvement. Questions and answers are only permitted in the format of a history of common issues. Because it is a free site, it does not mean that it should operate with cheesy, substandard methods. They make plenty of money from advertising.

Also, if their site is going to be down, they need to have the brains and where-with-all to blanket email all their customers and inform them.

I will say that 90% of the women I have seen on here don't have a healthy clue as to what a relationship is, or even how to start one. Most are shopping for toys and clothes and whatever debate they can get out of emails.

I have used this site for months now and there are weirdoes on here... I see why most of the men are on this site; half the profiles are full of lies and the other half just wants to get sex… How disgusting is that? But I guess you get what you DONT pay for, and since it’s FREE I continue to use it just for entertainment, hoping the quality of people will change... Anyway does anyone know if the site is down for maintenance? Every time I try to go to the website it doesn’t connect… I can’t even get to the actual website. Would be nice if the error message said “down for maintenance" that way people would know what was up.

I like POF. But.... every time I get off and try to log back on to check my mail it won’t let me.. It says my cookies are set to high on my computer. So I tried setting them to low. Still no luck of getting on. Can anyone help?

I have been on this site, for some time. I have had no problems, other than when there are more people on at one time, than the system seems to be able to handle. I know there are good women on this site, but for me, chemistry is a must. BMTG1945

I really liked the site but it won’t let me log on to the web site now. I don’t know what the problem could be. It has never happened before. Today was the first time; I can’t even get on to reply to someone that I thought was special. What a drag. I hope they get it back running soon.

I am wondering what happened to the site Plentyoffish? I had an email saying that I had mail on there and when I clicked on the link and then typed in my pass code, it took me completely out of plenty of fish and now it will not come up and says webpage cannot be found. Is the site deleted or is it having problems or what is going on? I had someone I was interested in and he was interested in me, but now we cannot make a connection and I really would like to find him...

I just got done reviewing all the comments and I see there is a problem with getting booted off, and apparently these people feel there is no reason behind this. It kind of frightens me. I love the website. I have only been a member on the site for approximately 3 weeks, and I found that the men are just like they are in real life, but that is so on any website. I think we should be able to contact someone about the people doing others wrong on POF and that those people should be booted off. People come to internet dating to get away from childish degrading behavior and they are ruining great websites such as Plentyoffish. Please get those people off so we can have fun and feel good about ourselves. People should be thankful that there are websites such as this that can accommodate people for free.

Good site no gimmicies!

I joined this site tentatively a few months ago. However I gave it my best shot, and I was on approximately 115 members' favourites before I was deleted, cut off, blocked etc. In fact I probably made a few bob for these Plentyoffish guys! I seem to have been deleted or something else mysterious. I say mysterious because no matter how much I try to contact customer care, I seem to be e-mailing outer space… I would at this stage discourage anybody from joining this site. It may be 'free' but I'd prefer to pay and have a dependable service.
Having to write this comment has made me feel a little pathetic, which I thought these online dating sites where attempting to diminish.

I have the same problem with Plentyoffish. Have to keep re-registering only to find I'm booted off within minutes. Totally frustrating. I emailed POF several times about this but I never get a reply.

At first I thought this was finally the best ever... but then I started to get these ugly, disgusting kinds of people emailing me, and I thought this cannot be - I mean you all can see my photo. I know I’m not the best, but I'm also not the worst person in the world looks wise anyway. The men that would try to get me to go out, I’m sorry but I could not see myself with. They were either way too young or way, way too old for me. I not only look my age, but I also do not feel my age. So I have not yet found anyone that I would consider meeting yet. So you have to look really good at a profile and photos before you contact anyone. Thank you. Besides that I love this site.

The only real 100% free site I know. And it`s actually better than several pay sites :)
