The company’s founder, Sue Hedges, started the agency back in 1985 after experiencing disappointment with similar services around at that time. This is not an online matchmaking site - the company’s website simply acts as an online brochure, providing information, links and contact details. Premier Introductions is run very much as a personal introduction service where local members discuss their relationship goals and expectations with an advisor either in person or on the telephone. Matches are made the old fashioned way ("by hand") whereby members receive details of other people who their advisor feels would be compatible with them. The member receiving the match-suggestion is then free to decide whether to go on a "date", or ignore them. The other member is only contacted if the recipient decides to meet them.
