Amoureux looks like a nicely developed dating site. It is tricky, however, to find any information about them. To get any information about the company, you have to fill out a profile! I spend extra time filling out the information to click on the link for information, and a screen comes up. Sorry, not posted yet! Why won’t a site make any details public? I find it interesting they have ads for two other dating sites on their pages. As with nearly all free dating services, you need to put up with a bit of advertising here and there.Filling out the profile required two screens worth of information. I could bypass the details and a profile was created. Similarly, when I browsed through profiles they were vague too.The site has a nice chat section. It lists home country, age, sex, and what languages each participant speaks. The chatrooms don’t appear to be monitored, so prepare for adult topics. Just when I peeked around there was a woman looking for a husband – not even a date!
When performing a profile search, you can pick any where around the world. There might not be any nearby matches, but the option is there. Clicking on the search categories can be tricky. You have to pick who you are looking for and what they want instead of just saying you are seeking a male or female.On their homepage, Amoureux have a very interesting and useful feature. It’s a map which allows you to see exactly how many male and female members there are in a particular area. In many areas, there are far more male than female members. Check it out here! So far this feature is available only for the UK, Canadian, Spanish and German versions of the site.
