Match first launched in 1995, with ownership changing hands several times since then. It is widely considered to be one of the pioneers of the online dating scene, and its savvy marketing campaigns and continued efforts to help people find true love has greatly helped in bringing online dating into the mainstream.
Read Main Review: Match.com
Must be one of the biggest and the most popular dating web sites on the Internet today. It is offered in numerous languages and has nearly 6 million members worldwide.
They let you browse around the site freely, without having to pay a full membership price just to look at potential matches. One thing I did not like however is the fact that you need to provide your email address and create a username/password right on the first page just to get into the web site itself. Having done that, you are free to continue searching immediately afterward. To take full advantage of all the site's features you will need to upgrade your account to a full membership, which will run you about $35 a month. Sometimes you can even find special offers/promotion on other web sites that gives you 15% off 1 month membership.
They also offers you a guarantee of success. It promises that if you don't find that special someone in 6 months time, they will give you another 6 months of services free. A guarantee to find love? I wish you could have that in real life these days.
Unlike some of the dating web sites like EHarmony, Match.com does not require you to fill out a 20 minute questionnaire about yourself. However it offers you a very useful feature called MindFindBind. It works as a guide to help members create the best portrait of their personas in order to find the best and the most compatible potential matches.
Overall, Match.com is a very well designed and user friendly dating web site. But should you run into any problems, there is an Online Help feature to help you along. And with nearly 6 million people already signed up, they must be doing something right.

I met my husband on match.com in 2008. We would have never met otherwise. :-)
Hi, can anybody tell me why when I e-mail somebody and get replies on Match. com the same e-mails also appear on my Dating Direct. com site. Exactly the same message & time, are the 2 sites related in any way?
This is the worse site and here is why. I made a profile and I went out with one person from this site and then the next day she kept texting me and I told her I am not interested. She got mad and she told me she will report me to Match. In fact she did. In less than 24 hours my profile was deleted after I paid $59 for 3 months and they won't give me my money back. I emailed them and called all I got was this:
We received your inquiry regarding the termination of your Match.com membership. Due to our privacy practices, we cannot disclose the specifics leading to the termination of your account. However, we believe this action was in the best interests of our member community. Should you like to obtain additional information, a valid subpoena directed to Match.com, LLC would be required.
I had to call my credit card company to get my money back. This is what I sent to Match.com and they never got back to me:
I am very disappointed on how Match.com decided to terminate my service for no reason, other than one member might have falsely complained about me. The reason I know is because that person texted me on my cell telling me that she will report me because I refuse to go out with her again. I went out with this user and then I wasn't interested, she texted me "what an Ass,. f***er etc" I texted her back and I asked her not to text me again and it seems she had issues". That is all nothing less nothing more. I have proof of that. Then she threatened to report me to you. It seems to encourage abusive users who threaten others with "go out with me or I will report you to Match", and then Match in return deletes my profile. I demand you do a full investigation of this as it is unfair for good users like me to be terminated while you do let the abusive on your site. I even reported her last night, check your logs. If I don't get my account back I am willing to take this story to the media and I will let them investigate it themselves because I do have proof of abusive text messages which will prove I am innocent and that Match encourages an abusive environment.
Thanks Dave Dulin, here's the link : 7-day free trial.
There is a Free-7day trial available if u just google match.com free trial. Hope this helps
Match.com is an absolutely awful service, signed up for their 6 months thing, lot of trying to get you to buy just more add-ons, more subscriptions to their other sites and less of actually doing the job in hand, found site slow and cumbersome, there is a lot better sites out there, people claim this is biggest but in my eyes certainly not the best. Oh and their customer support is abysmal. I am totally unimpressed by it, it may look nice to look at but not functional and not fit for purpose. Try a cheaper and nicer alternative.
